Amsterdam to Budapest: SCENIC TOURS Rhine River Cruise
April 2010
In a nutshell: the cruise was fabulous and well worth the cost (everything was first class) and everything well thought out; lovely rooms and excellent staff; great choice of destinations for excursions; meals and wine choices were excellent (and nice not to have to ‘nickel-and-dime’ each time on the tipping end of things); and needless to say, our cruise director (Werny) was incredible! Then, to add the cruise-ship company’s “good will” at the end of the cruise (when we were stranded due to that Icelandic volcano eruption), we simply could not believe how generous (and smart) they were to provide us with accommodations and breakfast (all at no cost) for the next six days! Unheard of! The staff were as excellent during those last days as they were on the whole cruise (albeit a whole new set of staff), plus they opened the kitchen to serve lunch and dinner (a la carte) as a convenience for those who couldn’t (or didn’t want to) wander too far. Incredible!

China Oct 2009:
I believe our shared trip to China was absolutely spectacular. From the moment we entered the airport in Beijing, I just knew we were in for an outstanding adventure in this ancient and cultured civilization. Each site we visited was more exciting that the one before. I can't say I have a favourite, each was in and of itself so unique and made even more memorable sharing it all with you. Jack, you did a fabulous job, and for your information, I haven't stopped talking about you, Love to Travel, China, its people, the sites, the sounds, the foods, the merchants, and on and on and on. And, on top of it all, I met and travelled with wonderful new companions. FM (Toronto)
